ISLANDS OFF SICILY, Gaulos. Roman rule, mid 3rd-2nd century BC. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.40 g, 5 h). Helmeted head of Roma (?) to right above large crescent; below chin, V. Rev. ΓAYΛITΩN Warrior advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left; to right, star. CNS 1. Perassi 75-83. SNG Copenhagen (Africa) 454. Rare. Minor flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
